Biden is Incoherent - But At Least He's Emphatic

Coming out of his first COVID break, our President (or his handlers) decided to make a video.*

It looked like a mash-up of hostage videos by Max Headroom, Jeff Dunham's Walter and the Crypt Keeper.

Lots of people noted Joe's lack of blinking and the ridiculous amount of editing required to make it (somewhat) coherent. Yes, it was odd. Creepy odd.

But, never mind that, let's talk about one of the ridiculous things Biden (or the avatar that's replaced him) said:

"You can't be pro-insurrection and pro-cop. You can't be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can't be pro-insurrection and pro-American. Donald Trump lacked the courage to act. The brave women and men in blue all across this nation should never forget that."

Know how you can tell an election is coming up? Democrats start pretending they are the opposite of who they are.

Who is pro-cop? Well, it's not the side that was advocating for defunding the police. Or the side that tries to distort every criminal incident into police brutality and racism. Or the side championing cashless bail. Or the side that was adamant about lock-downs - until there was an opportunity to riot against the police.

Who is pro-democracy? Well, it's not the side that wants to make it harder to verify elections. Or the ones who want social issues like abortion and same-sex marriage decided by oligarchs in black robes, rather than through the democratic process (in case you've been confused by media propagandists disguised as journalists, it is the Leftists who want courts to decide those issues). Or the ones who think speech should be controlled.

Who is pro-American? Well, it's not the side that wants to pack the Supreme Court because the Court is not doing for them what they couldn't do democratically. Or the side that wants to abolish the Electoral College and the filibuster. Or the side that is more, well, proud of the Pride Progress flag than the American flag. Or the side that thinks it is critical we indoctrinate our children with how horrible America is.

Obviously, Leftists (who now dominate the Democrat party**) are not pro-cop, pro-democracy or pro-America.

But who is "pro-insurrection"?

People who saw the Biden clip quickly pointed out that America was founded by an insurrection. In 1776, being "pro-American" required you to be "pro-insurrection."

Having said that, until very recently, it was the Leftists that were the insurrectionists. Based primarily on trumped-up charges (no pun intended), they wanted to overthrow traditional America. And, unfortunately, they have now largely succeeded.

So, as with most totalitarian philosophies, the moment they seized power, they flipped. Yesterday, it was all about overthrowing the society and government. But now that they have control, it's all about maintaining it. Just like Robespierre, Lenin (and Stalin), Mussolini, Hitler, Mao, Castro, Peron and countless others before them, as soon as they grabbed power, dissent got quashed.

So, now, the Left treats any disagreement with their agenda as "insurrection." That's how you do it. Stir everything up until you get control - then pound everything and everyone down into submission and compliance.

But, here's the thing. They don't quite yet have total control. There are still some of us holding out. Are we "insurrectionists?" No, not at all. We are still supporting our form of government and working within it. In fact, we are the ones who genuinely believe in America and what it really stands for.

J6, as the cool kids call it, was bad. It did not help Trump or conservatives or Republicans (except Liz Cheney). What it did was give Leftists an excuse to further abuse power (see "Can You Name This Event?" for an eerie parallel).

Still, it needs to be pointed out that J6 was not an insurrection. It was people (rightly or wrongly) deeply concerned that our system of government was being subverted through the railroading of a faulty presidential election. They showed up when and where they did because they believed it was the last opportunity under the Constitution and the enabling laws to voice their concerns and to try and ensure proper procedure was being followed and our system of government was being upheld and not hijacked.

Yes, it got out-of-control - and was probably a bad idea from the beginning. But anyone who says it was a broad-based, pre-meditated attempt at an insurrection is a liar and/or an idiot. Whatever it was, it was closer to the opposite (see "The Show (Hearing) Must Go On" and "Jan 6 - A Bit of Clarity").

BTW, what did Biden even mean when he said, "pro-insurrection"? Are there a lot of people self-identifying as "pro-insurrection"? For some reason, I can't find their Facebook page.*** Presumably, he means anyone who questions the J6 orthodox narrative in any way - or anyone he wants to demonize.

Remember this from right after Biden's election (source: NBC News November 7, 2020)?:

Biden promised the captivated crowd of supporters at his campaign headquarters "to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify."

"To make progress, we have to stop treating our opponents as our enemies. They are not our enemies. They are Americans," Biden said.

"This is the time to heal in America," he added, amid a chorus of blaring car horns and screams.

Biden vowed to "work with all my heart for the confidence of the whole people, to win the confidence of all people."

Yeah, right.

I know Trump-bashing is so ubiquitous we don't even notice it anymore. However, try to recall that, at least before Obama, the sitting President, once elected, did not go out of his way to criticize the former President. Besides being classless, it is corrosive. What was the point of blurting out, "Donald Trump lacked the courage to act"?

To recap, Biden is following the well-worn authoritarian path:

The Authoritarian Playbook - Chapter One

Once you achieve power:

  1. Blame every problem on the prior government,

  2. Label any dissent as insurrection,

  3. Crush the "insurrectionists".

* apparently, this video was made for a group called NOBLE - The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives. I have no clue about them. On the one hand, I wish we didn't focus on dividing and organizing people by race, and I can't help but fear this may be one of those groups trying to cram down DEI (similar to what is happening in our military). However, on the other hand, we should all be 100% supportive and appreciative of our police. And, especially at this moment in history, black police officers are vital and precious. We need as many of them as possible, and we need to support them.

** until this week, Joe Manchin was presumed to be the last Democrat who was not a radical, anti-American Leftist. But, like purported dodo bird sightings, it was just wishful thinking. Now, it appears the closest thing to rational the Dems have is Green Party defector and self-described "Prada socialist" Kyrsten Sinema, who should no more be the senior senator from Arizona than should the vice president of your son's middle school student council.
